do you
want more pain and healing like flowers from a skull they grow and root deeper
in gray matter connected to spinal roots that lead to toes that dance again
and walk in quick sand towards the green and the gold and are no longer stuck
in the marsh of lily pads and green warted frogs who never turned to a prince
when kissed yet were kissed anyway dive deeper into the muddy bottom where
the snappers live and wade through like an armor-endowed mermaid with silky
scales and little toes not worthy of mud but trudge anyway and don't dance
encores yet pull sea soaked tail from the bottom and dry in the sun as hair
turns gold and skin to savage brown the dragonflies beckon to come back to
the forest and sing where the fire burns and the trolls live they offer clean
and clear sparkling water but i want wine i will not bridge a gap between
the shore and the evergreens and the giant silver striped fish and red burning
jellies that seek a mermaid out for sweet skin and blood no longer on fire
yet it boils and triggers this after effect of growth of many flowers and
trees that if not careful will yet again trip on the roots and need to pick
up again and again and know now how deep the roots can grow so turn to the
sun and the golden brazen boldness of a mermaid turned walker who wants to
walk the walk and dance far from the fire in the forest and miles from the
dirty little trolls who beckon as we laugh that way and giggle into the blue
darkness where spider webs talk to me and the spiders scurry to be scooped
and set free in the flower beds along the road she chooses to walk and see
them in years to come with shiny dewy dangling webs that reflect the moon
and disappear in the sun that is where to linger in the solid gold hematite
sandstone womb of a candle lit cave and gardens where fairies scold and bump
about on clay soil with roots and seeds planted in it where things grow and
vibe and bounce off of each other once more with such a hum that i no longer
hear anything but my soul feeling pain pain and its release pain and the release
release the mermaids on the rocks they need to swim and there they go as
the sun takes over the moon and all the frogs ricochet away
