that's alina holding a little rescued poodle. that's pat, her husband, holding the dog they fell in love with and brought home with them to indiana. they named him jekyll!! both alina and pat were amazing volunteers at pasado's in raceland. after returning home, they put jekyll's photo and information on petfinders.com (just to be sure the original owners weren't searching for him) and they found the original owners.  and jekyll's real name is chico!   chico's owners had been rescued from a rooftop in new orleans and were forced to leave their pup behind.  alina and pat were the intermediary "guardian angels" for chico.

that's nik on the left; and alina on the right; and "romeo" in the middle.  he is getting LOTS of attention!  romeo was going home with nik!

this is frankie (originally from long island) with lindy. frankie adopted  lindy and i was delighted to help process the adoption papers

a sweet little poodle with its brand new owner!

this poor baby was covered with ringworm.  a rule in the contagious section:  to keep the fungus from spreading, no blankets were allowed.

this wonderful old boxer was very dirty when rescued.  i gave him a flea bath and had the vets treat his infected ears.  i have friends in new york city who might like to adopt this boy

rescued in the nick of time, but it's going to take a long time to get his body weight back to normal
