It sounds like a cliché but I love my family, animals and nature, unconditionally.  I celebrate milestones and special holidays with all the enthusiasm of a child, and I think I always will. I love giving gifts, especially when they are not expected.  I am a total sucker for creature comforts - candles, flowers, dreamy bedding, food that I order on the internet and have delivered to my door just in time for the weekend.  And most recently, for the first time ever, I have hired someone to clean my apartment and do my laundry. This means that when I key into my apartment on Friday after work, I am no longer faced with, what appears to be, the aftermath of a cyclone.   And I have clean socks!!!

I am not a victim of fashion trends, despite my career.  My wardrobe is mostly casual, but I love quality vintage clothing, especially gowns and evening wear.  Wearing a 1950's Bill Blass coat over blue jeans and a t-shirt would be right up my alley. Or a black chiffon prom gown from the 1960's to a wedding reception.   I also love clothing from other cultures.  This past summer, I began collecting, and wearing Muslim JILBABS.  I have many pairs of Gucci loafers, most of them vintage, (hello eBay), and I am just as happy shopping in a Salvation Army store, as I am in Bloomingdales.

I have traveled around the world, to sixteen countries so far, and want to keep traveling, and I am very good at putting together interesting and affordable itineraries!  I started alpine skiing when I was three years old and I love it, to this day.  I have skydived.  And hang-glided.  And scuba dived.  And I really like to go fishing, whether it's fly-fishing in Wyoming; casting from a rowboat, or just standing in a stream with a fishing pole.    continued
